Full Description
Two small tin-glazed ointment jars recorded on Portsmouth Museum's collection database as having come 'from the site of Lloyds Bank, High Street, Old Portsmouth' via the City Development Officer c1960. [1]
Lloyds Bank had moved from No. 60 High Street to newly built premises at No. 33 High Street by 1960 [2]. Therefore the location of the find has been assigned to the latter as it would appear the jars were recovered during development work. (HER comment)
Museum Accession No: 1960/107 and 1960/108.
